I really like Interstellar. It's not perfect by any means, but it's one of the Nolan's very best. Hell I think I'd rank it higher than any of his Batman films, and I'm a "Batman Begins is the best Batman film of all time" apologist with a freaking greeting card. It's not better than Arrival, though. That thing is a masterpiece.

Ranking Nolan films (minus Dunkirk)

1. The Prestige

2. Interstellar

3. The Dark Knight

4. Batman Begins

5. Memento

6. Insomnia

7. The Dark Knight Rises

8. Inception

I haven't seen either Following or Dunkirk though. Inception is easily his worst film and I don't understand why it's hyped so much. Shutter Island is the best crazy DiCaprio film of that year.

Valerian is one of the biggest bombs in history.

Besson's rant against Captain America and superhero films in general still has me giggling. Probably the biggest piece of news regarding that film. I actually sort of feel bad for him, he tried.

Nah, King Arthur was a bigger bomb. I don't know why people try to act like WB didn't dump it. They knew it was going to bomb but they had to release it though. If they thought that it had a chance at making money it wouldn't have come out a week after Guardians of the Galaxy 2.

Valerian at least recouped some money by being purchased by OS distributors. King Arthur lost a FUCKTON of money.

I don't understand studios sometimes. How the fuck would you think that Guy Ritchie is a good fit for a freaking King Arthur reboot?

Baby Driver did crack the 100mil mark.

Yep, it's official. :) I remember the predictions of a $12M opening weekend, when many feared Baby Driver will be crushed by the summer blockbusters and a $50-60M total gross was considered optimistic... 47 days later: $100,033,833!

Also King Arthur is a fucking glorious mess and even if it turned out badly, I admire the fuck out of it and it's a great watch.  I might get it on Blu-Ray

Make sure to buy the 3D edition for $38.99 with no 7.1 or Atmos!
