Is this some actual early word? I don't keep up with this sort of thing and I'd be super disappointed if it turns out that it's shit.

No, there's no early word of mouth yet for it. I was just throwing it out there (as far as like the academy looking at it). It's my most anticipated movie of the fall under The Last Jedi. I also hope it's great but WB is probably going to pull another late embargo and make everyone wait. Hope social media reactions come sooner again.

Anyways, if you want an acting nomination for mother!, put your hope in Michelle Pfeiffer. Melissa Leo and Hong Chau are dropping fast in that category, and there aren't many other people that will fill in those spots. I think Tatiana Maslany could get in for Stronger, but it completely depends on how well Roadside campaigns and if Gyllenhaal is nominated in Actor.

Paramount should move Annihilation to a limited release in December and go wide in January :sparta:

That was in my Top 10 most anticipated for the year due to who was involved. Ex Machina was my favorite movie of 2015 and Natalie Portman is usually good in that genre (outside of Star Wars)....I wonder why they delayed it.

I hope it's good but the new release date has me skeptical.

Went to see IT last night again, and I couldn't believe this, but my theater was sold out. It was more packed than my theater when I saw it opening day, something that has never really happened to me when I see films multiple times.

@filmlover to answer your post about next weekend's releases:

Kingsman: 45M

Ninjago: 35M

Friend Request: 2.5M

FR is going nowhere; it can't even be a PG-13 horror fix because it's rated R.

Can Sept's monthly figure swap with August in computing summer's box office? Sept's box office will make Summer 2017 awesome!!

i can't believe anyone who's seen the movie still thinks michelle pfieffer is getting an oscar nomination. this is just holdover from the buzz she had before anyone had seen it, really.

Pfeiffer is awesome in the movie. I had a big ass smirk on my face most of the times she confronted JLaw

What an absolutely incredible number for it. I seriously cannot believe the movie is doing this well.

Being in Tampa, I know FL has been catching up these past few days after Irma. When I saw mother Thursday night, I could tell a larger crowd was there for IT and there was a new showing every every 5 minutes when I went and rewatched it on Wednesday . School was also out all week (but theaters didn't open again until Tuesday afternoon).

I saw a standee for Friend Request up at the theater last night and went up to look what it was. It began shooting in early 2014. lmao.
