I also may have used @CoolEric258's post as an flimsy excuse to post a Weird Al vid.

NO RAGRETS!  NONE AT ALL I SAY!!!!

Every post deserves Weird Al representation in some form.

(btw @Porthos Al totally needs to do The Saga Ends this year, even though he probably won't)

Absolutely.  Or something to complete the SW song trilogy he's done.

I think he's been asked about it, but I can't recall what he's said about it.  Be a little surprised if something doesn't come out by next Feb or so, though.

@CJohn Gods Of Egypt hit nearly 20% share on SIC this past Sunday :hahaha:   Shittugal giving Gods Of Egypt ratings and then letting King Of The Monsters and Rocketman bomb. They did give the original John Wick 21% share, though, so all is (mostly) forgiven.

Oh, and btw, SIC is the leader of June after Monday alone, with a 21.3% share vs. TVI's 16.5% that single-handedly nulled TVI's weekend victory :hahaha:

Real talk.   Weird Al is one of the best concerts you will ever attend.

@CJohn Golpe de Sorte is here to stay. 12% rating and 25% share this Monday. A very Valor da Vida-like result, sure, but coming off the harsh conditions it had to face from Wednesday to Friday where it may have lost quite a few people, it's a big bump up. Although Prisioneira, to its credit, had a bigger bump up from its last episode on Saturday, reaching 10.3% rating and 21.9% share...... hurray?

A Dona do Pedaço, the new Globo soap, premiered with 5.3% and 21.4%, beating the special A Teia episode that went to 5.1% and 20.5% respectively. It's also an uptick from Segundo Sol's premiere, which too had 5.1% rating and 20.4% share. Segundo Sol itself came to an end with 4.7% rating, a 2.3% decrease in rating from O Outro Lado do Paraíso's 7% final episode rating.... but then again, Segundo Sol's ending also started an hour after Outro Lado do Paraíso's, and this reflects in its 26.8% share, higher than Outro Lado's 25.8%. Not a bad ending result for a soap that started as a mega flop last September. Now, with Golpe de Sorte, as well as Alma e Coração holding steady at 11PM, SIC has stolen the last thing that kept TVI's weekdays afloat: the primetime; and Dona do Pedaço will likely increase the advantage that SIC has at midnight as well. TVI might just start airing Somos Portugal and Gente Que Não Sabe Estar everyday from 00h to 00h

And also, the Rita Pereira Your Face Sounds Familiar controversy.... holy crap. Because the channel needed more controversy on top of all its current issues and the woman needed more bad buzz after the Raid The Cage floppage.

They should have never given Rita Pereira such big role in the channel. It was so obvious it was gonna blow up on their faces. She is trash.

Gods of Egypt tanked in cinemas here. Most of the times, the big movies pull crappy shares and the smaller stuff brings in the ratings. Such a weird trend. I guess it is the movies people never bothered to go see in cinema or download illegally.

Her ego got a little too big after the Dancing gig that worked out due to both effort by the production (credit where credit is due, it was arguably the best season of the show yet) and..... pure luck, due to Lip Sync Battle's mismanagement on SIC's side of things. I've seen bits of the new Your Face and, yeah, she makes it a bit awkward with her overanalytical judgments - she's basically trying to be the female Manuel Moura dos Santos (or the Portuguese female Simon Cowell, for non-Portuguese people reading this) - and mean-spirited sarcasm towards everyone. She even tried to bury Maria C. Gomes more than a couple of times and deservedly got answered back. It's obvious she's pissed she wasn't the host and didn't get an even bigger paycheck. That being said, some of the controversy does also come from other parties for trying to make a monster out of a minor torment, but it is what it is.

I guess this means Godzilla: King Of The Monsters will hit 30% share when it comes to SIC 4 years from now, right? :whosad:

This is the most anyone's talked about Gods of Egypt since it came out. Also forgot Chadwick Boseman was in it. Then again he probably doesn't remember making it either.

Alex Proyas probably doesn't remember it either and he literally fought critics over it.
