We loved three beloved movies, and that means we had lower standards?

The movie was well received, got mostly good to great reviews, was the highest grossing sequel of all time, and definitely did NOT divide the fan base. Go on eBay and buy some back issues of Starlog and Starburst and read the letter pages. The movie was embraced immediately. The ESB was not well liked myth has been pervasive since the Internet, but has no real basis in reality. More than likely it became a meme to prop up later movies that really did divide people, aka the Prequels.

I could pick out a bunch of Twitter reactions from people who loved The Last Jedi, too. What you can't deny is that its drop from A New Hope would've been seen as pretty catastrophic in today's age, despite having a significantly bigger opening. Whatever the real "consensus" was, its performance surely would've been freaking people out.

star wars fans are the worst type of fans; as in the type that have a very, very, very narrow view of what the property is allowed to be.

Star Wars fans hate non-sense drivel.

That's how shallow and prinonner of the brand they are.

This franchise deserves better fans I concur.
