Holy Crap, with 66.8M 200M is a done deal. It's going to have spillover from Saturday so no chance it's dropping 20% much less 23%+ Deadline has.

Folks 200M OW is happening, no way Disney will let BP end up around 198M!!!!!! Since Monday is a holiday they can easily shift million or 2 into Sunday.

Also, amazingly it has beaten Deadpool OW in 2 freaking days.:ohmygod:

10 years ago the big tentpole February release was Doug Liman's Jumper with Hayden Christensen.

Now, in the same month, we're about to witness a $190-200 million opening weekend for a Black Panther movie.

How far we've come...

At this point Squirrel Girl over 350 m DOM wouldn't surprise me.

And Marvel Studios just got back Fantastic Four and X-men. :hahaha:

The money they make from those two will probably pay for the Fox deal before phase 5.

Squirrel Girl 350 you say? What then for AM&tW? ;)

Seriously though, MCU should have incredible good will domestically and overseas going into July. There’s some chance it could improve on Ant-Man more than expected.

Disney has never cared about that kind of stuff.  I don't think they will this time either.

I think the only blockbuster black director before 2017 was Tim Story for the Fantastic Four.

In the last 10 months we had two black directors make movies that will gross over 1 billion...

Gary and Coogler.

Not to mention Jordan Peele breaking indie records with Get Out.
