If BP had opened at the same number of theatres as SW or Avengers and with its PTA it would have done more than Avengers and JW for its 3 day OW and possibly 250m 4 day

To be honest and after the density that IW is bound to have , ant man and the wasp will be the perfect marvel film for the summer (and the trailer looks really cool with wasp being a great female part). I believe it will surprise and do very good, close to 300 in the u.s and 700 WW.

Iron Man 1 and 3, Avengers 1, Guardians 1 and 2, Dr. Strange, Homecoming, and the second act of Ragnarok is where I had more fun than at the others. My only real Marvel hot take is that I'm really not a Russo bros fan.

I'll say it'll be a good middle film between BP & IW. Being much less "ambitious" and "big" will help.

I personally think Winter Solider is the film that brought maturity to the MCU.

 

Since that film the quality has been higher than before.

Beyond that it's tricky. I am very easy to please with these movies, sue me, but it's really hard to rank them past that top 5. Pretty much like all of them bar TIH and Thor 2.
