Friday 11:42PM: Chart to follow, extended writethru of midday Paramount’s horror-thriller A Quiet Place is shocking many inside and outside Paramount. While there was some fantastic buzz coming out of SXSW with a 100% Rotten Tomatoes score, there was a feeling that the movie would do well, but no one anticipated a $47M+ debut of this size for this net-budgeted $17M title. Tracking had this genre title sitting in the low-to-mid $20Ms and just yesterday, many jumped their average forecast for this John Krasinski-directed-and-written title to low $30Ms.

@That Ambitious Guy  Deadline thinks you're no one!

RPO is hitting 24m over the weekend with a 6.5m friday, Deadline projecting all wrong as usual.

Amazing start for AQP, 130m locked with a good chance at 150m and outgrossing The Conjuring 1 in the way.

BP just wont die. It will hit 700m DOM at this rate.

Solid start for Blockers.

Unless Friday goes up 24 could be tough. GIJ2 jumped 40% on sat.  if RPO jumps 55%,

6.5+10+6.8(-32%) = 23.3 (-44%)

22.5 (-46%) too would be a good hold imo, and keeps 150 alive cause RPO should at least add 2.25x the 2nd weekend to it's cume, 94.3 + 22.5*2.25 = 145

I know it's a coincidence since I wasn't on the thread at the time.

I clicked on the last page of this thread and saw there wasn't any chart yet.  Thought, "Great.  Let's pop it in real fast".  In those three to five seconds, @Finnick must have been copy-n-pasting as well and beat me by seconds.

Out of this word for A Quiet Place.

What a time do be a true horror fan, right @baumer??!

Thats really impressive for Ready Player One, falling less than 50% after a holiday weekend plus an extra day of play.

Great start for Blockers, which I imagine will continue to play well.

Ha! I've tried to post the numbers before as well, but always get beat by time. It all comes down to speed, and whoever clicks the "submit reply" first.
