Yeh Life of the Party opened in line with Game Night, Blockers and I Feel Pretty.

These Melissa + Husband movies usually open over $20m though, so even with Mothers Day this is a bit of a let down for it. Although I think tracking was $17-21m so it’s still ok.

Breaking In did less than comparable No Good Dead etc, but similar to Acrimony.

Melissa will be fine but you have to wonder if maybe she should start doing more projects without Ben Falcone because it's an emerging pattern that her weakest films are the ones he's directed. Her next couple of films looks very promising,

2B would appear to be very very likely but it's not locked. Think some of you are forgetting Deadpool releases this week which is proper competition. Drops will be much worse from here out. In fact Dp2 opens on Tuesday in many markets.

Predictions for next weekend:

Deadpool 2: 130M

Avengers: Infinity War: 32.8M

Book Club: 8M

Life of the Party: 6.9M

Breaking In: 5.1M

A Quiet Place: 5M

Show Dogs: 4.5M

RBG: 2M

I Feel Pretty: 1.7M

Rampage: 1.5M

Reaaaaaaaaally want AQP to beat Breaking In and stay in the top 5. If it doesn't happen next weekend, it'll be back in the top 5 over Memorial Day.

A bit optimistic on AIW and to low on Book Club....

Identical third weekend drop for Infinity War compared to The Avengers. Terrific third weekend of $61.8M, second only to Black Panther, as far as comic book films go. Infinity War is already the third highest grossing comic book movie of all time domestically.

Black Panther sits at $696.2M after this weekend. It is so close to being the first comic book movie to hit the $700M mark domestically.

Basically, Marvel is killing it.

Black Panther is behaving like Jumanji post-digital release. Jumanji's first weekend after the digital release was 38%, then it went up to 41% the following week and 48% after the Blu-Ray came out. BP's Blu is out on Tuesday, and given Deadpool is out next weekend, it's probably going to have the first 50% drop in its entire run. Absolutely insane.

I don’t see Breaking In and Life of the Party dropping harsher than Infinity Wars next weekend. They are counter programming to Deadpool 2 while Infinity Wars is pretty much direct competition...

Snatched dropped 60% in its second weekend; this is what happens to new releases inflated by Mothers Day. Breaking In will particularly get hurt because similar movies tend to drop 40-45% on Sunday.

AWIT PTA is abysmal. Disney should have done better if they pushed BP DVD back to speed up 700M (which is happening without fudge anyway). I understand they want 100M for AWIT cause of TV rights, as others explained, but that turd can't do it even with Puerto Rico.

Total Lifetime Grosses
Domestic:  $89,744,663    22.6%
Foreign:  $307,400,000    77.4%

Worldwide:  $397,144,663

Rampage did 6.4 OS so should add 11 more there. And around 6.5 more Dom gives 397.1 + 11 + 6.5 = 414.6 with Japan remaining (May 18 release).

So 425 is very likely (3.54x it's 120 prod budget)

Err. Why not? One of the reasons IW has held this well is because there's been no competition. Literally no competition at all. It will have regular (steep) superhero film drops from here on out.

Rampage has done solid business for WB, nearly $400m WW and the OS will match or close to San Andreas' OS total
