As @sfran43 mentioned, its 4th Tuesday was actually $5.168 million. Black Panther had also just entered Spring Break weekdays, which explains the unusually soft drops from the previous week. Infinity War probably won't get summer weekdays until early June.

It’s hard to directly compare IW’s 4th Tuesday with any other big MCU movies because of spring break/being one week farther into summer. What I will say is that every other May MCU release dropped on pre-Memorial Tuesday, so I’ll be happily impressed with a 5-10% increase.

Amazing for Deadpool! For reference, that would actually be above GOTG Vol 2' first Tuesday (12M), despite the latter opening 21M higher. I know R-Rated Films tend to play a bit better on weekdays, but thats still impressive.
