~16% bump from true Friday (11.8) for 13.7 would make 40+ ow very likely for O8.

15.8 + 13.7 + 10.5 (-23%) = 40

 

GB16 jumped 20% from true Friday and fell 24% on Sun.

Hereditary increased minus previews lol. I was expecting a bigger drop. $12m seems safe. Very solid start. Budget was $10m. A24’s biggest opening weekend confirmed. 

 

Oceans 8 up about 30% minus previews too, $42m seems doable.

Solid bump for O8. +29% from True Friday!. GB2016 was +20%

 

DP2 jumped big too. 5.8 is +54% from 3.765 friday.

 

Solo bumped a lot too 4.0 Fri =>6.5 Sat .... +62.5%

It is acting more like a sequel than spinoff.

Great bumps for pretty much everything (or almost everything)! Ocean's 8 staying pretty much flat from a relatively inflated OD gross (4PM start and shit + Wed gross) ain't bad, and neither is its 29% bump from real Friday. 40M+ is locked at this point, even with a 30% Sunday drop (which it won't have).

 

Hereditary's number is superficially underwhelming, but for an arthouse horror movie that probably disappointed the teen audience, an 18% bump from real Fri isn't that bad. If it manages 20M DOM + a little more OS, that's a win for A24.

 

The May releases with some good bumps too, Deadpool with 54% and Solo with 62.5%. Though IW outshines them at 67%  Avengers really rallying quite the late legs now, and DP2 has firmly stabilized alas Homecoming as well. Solo may start to show some ok staying power too, but at this point, a little too late as it doesn't change the fact that it's a good ol' bomb.
