who isnt scared of dentists? they say you have a cavities and the next thing you know, you get an injection full off medicine that won't wear off in a few hours and your mouth and face feel all fat. that sucks

Thats a 71,9% drop which is totally normal for a March release. Its slightly better than something like GOTG Vol 2 which dropped 74% in early May (where summer days arent yet in effect).

Just for kicks, the DOM total of it had the same Monday multiplier as those 4+BatB:

Winter Soldier — 153.4+10.987*26.48=444

DS — 153.4+10.987*23.77=414.5

GotG2 — 153.4+10.987*24.67=424.5

Ragnarok — 153.4+10.987*23.32=410

BatB —  153.4+10.987*24.33=421

Updated for actuals. Tomorrow I plan to drop the Nov MCUs for Alice in Wonderland and Oz the Great and Powerful.

china isn't the only market in the world and we've seen in BR case that a movie can have insane OS run without China. Domestic Monday hold is very promising for legs so 400M doubters should start booking their tickets to 400M+ train, and OS - China will follow dom legs. we were repeatedly told that China is very unpredictable, so that's not a big deal. 600M+ OS and 400M+ dom are very much in the cards.

You misunderstood. I was not talking about 1B total, which is locked, but about your question about 1.3B being a possibility. With a 450M WW opening in all markets minus Japan, 1.3B already looked close to impossible. Now that China, a market that accounted for 30% of the movie's OS opening, is looking at a disastrous multiplier, chances are gone to zero. Considering that IM3 looks out of reach too, CM's aim is to overtake Aquaman WW (which would be amazing given how much that movie was boosted by China).
