The first Shazam! was one of the worst-performing DCEU movies overseas. I think we're heading for a BOMB regardless of reviews, but hope things can still turn around.

The way I see it, the first movie is sort of a throwback to various 80’s kid’s movies, so the over the top bullies are part of that throwback.

I adore the first film but the 2 trailers for this I thought have been very bad. I was also really looking forward to the direction of the after credit scene od the first and they went in an entirely different direction.

Every scene they've released online has looked 100x better than the trailer. Curious why they chose to market the film with those trailers instead of the similar charm it seems to have as the first.

 

Also, I'm really thinking we're going to get very positive reactions next tuesday.

Looks to me WB didn't have their A team marketing folks on this due to budget constraints. They hired C/D team to do the marketing for this.
