Jonwo
How has half term been for the holdovers? I imagine HT2 and Pan would have seen a boost
Heretic
Daytime business today looks stronger than any other day so far. Night time will dip though as it's back to school/work for everyone tomorrow.

solaris
Just off to see this at BFI IMAX. Expectations have been suitably lowered to QoS levels. I'm hoping they are marginally exceeded.

By next weekend it should have taken more than the total run for QOS and Casino Royale.

Olive
Box Office: 'Spectre' Opens to Record-Shattering $63.8M in the U.K. In the U.K., it is playing in 647 theaters and on 2,500 screens, making it the widest release of all time. Skyfall shattered several records in its opening, including the Saturday attendance record, as well as posting the No. 2 opening weekend ever behind Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2. http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/box-office-spectre-opens-record-835834?utm_source=twitter

theultimatebiu
My screening was completely sold out and the line was across the street. This opening is, amazingly, not that shocking.
Purple Minion
Deadline Leading is of course the UK where 007 spied an estimated £41.7M ($63.8M) in the first week which includes previews that began on Monday. That gives it the biggest seven-day opening ever, zooming past the record set by 2004’s Harry Potter And The Prisoner Of Azkaban which was also released on a Monday, to £23.88M. Spectre also set a new record for the highest seven-day gross in UK box office history — that record was previously held by 2012’s Skyfall. Notably, in the Friday-Saturday-Sunday UK frame, Spectre edged out Skyfall with £20.4M compared to Bond 23’s £20.1M.
Avatree
Nuts, the actual weekend still beat Skyfall despite it being out for 4 days prior. These numbers are ridiculous. Made more money in one week than any movie did last year at all... Won't beat Skyfall's record in the end though. Heretic
Fucking incredible. £80m Is definitely happening.
solaris
Fuck me sideways. That is insane. I know we've been expecting this all week with the daily reports, but still, actually seeing that number is crazy. 50% drops from here on in will get this to £80m on the nose. Demand is crazy high so I think we'll still see some big numbers this week/weekend, but would then expect some bigger drops later in the run. But yeah - £80m feels like the sweet spot for this.
Jonwo
I think the second weekend drop won't be as good as Skyfall's but I think £12-15m is doable especially as they're no competition
