I'm guessing the Irish gross must be pretty big, does anyone have a breakdown for this? Also, £1m opening for Fabelmans seems... Not a total disaster (at least against some of the other Oscar bait grosses this year) Edited January 30, 2023 by solaris Spelling

Still looks like it’s going to be very close, so can’t really call it right now.

The Dark Alfred
UNWELCOME was good fun. Disappointed ENYS MEN couldn't produce a better hold. One more weekend for A2 then the sizeable drops are coming.
Heretic
The market has been starved of a proper kids film since Matilda, and no animated film for months. Puss in Boots is going to capitalise on that, and coupled with the critical acclaim it has received as well as half term holidays from its 2nd week, it’s going to be raking it in. The first one only opened to £2m, but that was in December. Wouldn’t be surprised if this doubled the first’s opening. The Dark Alfred
Wednesday was: 1. Avatar: The Way Of Water 2. BTS 3. The Fabelmans 4. Pathaan 5. Plane Bit disappointing for BTS considering the last one was a big hit. FABELMANS showing decent legs so far, we'll see how it fares against THE WHALE. Wotad
It is quite weird how my Cinema puss has taken so many of the 2D seats from Avatar.

The Dark Alfred
It makes perfect sense. People not interested in gimmick, rubbish 3D anymore. PUSS will do much better in 2D screenings.

Issac Newton
Pathaan - £2.72M (9-days Total) Now officially the all time highest grossing Indian film in UK, beating the previous record of £2.71M held by ‘Dhoom 3’ for 10 years. 1

Ipickthiswhiterose
Seriously guys, is Pathaan worth seeing? I was planning to watch it but then saw the trailer and wasn't particularly impressed.

A nasty film with a rotten heart - I came for a creature feature, not to revisit the worst excesses of hoodie horror. Jesus, I hated hoodie horror at the time, and there was nothing in the marketing for this that indicated the throwback to that vile (for so many reasons) nonsense that this was for 80% of the runtime. Enys Men didn't play anywhere near me. I kept at eye out but would have had to make a track to Home in Manchester.
