Just finished up TASM2 and have the Raimi/Webb films complete.  While this film might have its fair share of missteps, I really thought it had some incredible highs as well.  Its certainly not the lost cause that many make it out to be.

 

- Electro VFX

- Peter/Gwen

- Gwens Death

- Easily the best web slinging in a SM film

- Peter and Aunt May's talk about his parents

- Best Spidey suit in a film

 

 

I'm really interested to see where Andrew's Spidey's headspace is at in NWH.

With the way TASM 2 ended, TASM 3 looked like an even bigger mess. I guess Andrew will loosely refer to its events in NWH.

Brief watch of the Spidey scenes in Civil War and remember why he was a scene stealer in that film.

 

Homecoming is still really fun for me seeing Spider-Man in a more grounded setting is nice and honing in on Peter losing out on what he could have in high school for Spider-Man without having it bogged down by the weight of it all. I kinda dismissed this version of Aunt May but she has some really nice scenes in this one which I realise alot of the problems I have with the supporting cast of this Spider-Man other than MJ stem from FFH. 

 

Really wished we had a proper follow up to the final scene with May but those pesky Avengers films got in the way.

honestly it's a bit of silly fun and i like it better than the first TASM which is just booooooring. and it spends half the time trying not to step on raimi's toes in a way that's awkward to watch.

I still think the blogs and youtube critics on RT will get it just barely to fresh but I also would not be surprised to see this rotten. Spider-Man 3 and TASM 2 got slammed for being over stuffed...and this has 10x more stuff going on.

Critics screenings sometimes do happen before the world premiere but I’m unsure as to if any have happened yet for this.

Yeah I'm almost sure there haven't been any screenings. Usually if there are you see some tweets about it or something. Haven't seen any of that here.

Hmm...93 in the verified era is decent but not that amazing. I mean FFH got 95%, I suppose this should be able to match that at least, as long as something didn't go badly wrong.
