yeah sorry for derailing the thread, I won't go much into it besides my last comment. Lorddemaxus could take it to DMs if he wants to.

No, I'm done here too. Might say something on the Classic Conversation or DM after I watch Come and See tonight, espescially since you compared both movies.

That’s a heck of a list, B.

I mean, variety is the spice of life, isn't it?  Some of the films on the top 100 are boring boring, yawn, boring boring boring.  Seeing someone get their eyelids eaten by birds while tied to a tree, now that's my kind of movie!

Did I miss Inside Llewyn Davis? That'd be top three for me. I guess this board doesn't love being a sad person with good hair as much as I do.

Top 10 for the previous decade would be Zodiac, There Will Be Blood, A History of Violence, No Country for Old Men, and Departed, followed by Children of Men, Eastern Promises, Inside Man, Casino Royale, Gone Baby Gone, Munich, and Mesrine. The key to that decade was to be thriller adjacent and released between 2005 and 2007. That's my entire aesthetic.

LLEWYN DAVIS was in the low 20s I think?

Llewyn Davis was #38. And speaking of sad people with good hair don't forget Silence finishing high.

Also fuck yeah Inside Man

So the top 10 is gonna be (in some order):

Inception

The Social Network

Gravity

The Wolf of Wall Street

Inside Out

Mad Max: Fury Road

Arrival

Get Out

Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse

Parasite

Pretty sure none of these have shown up yet.

that sounds about right

for comps with Letterboxd's top 10 of the decade

1. Parasite
2. Portrait of a Lady on Fire
3. Spider-man into the Spider-Verse

4. Whiplash
5. The Handmaiden

6. It's Such a Beautiful Day

7. Little Women

8. A Separation

9. Love Exposure
10. Mommy

IMDB's top 10 of the decade

1. Inception

2. Parasite
3. Interstellar

4. Joker
5. Avengers Infinity War
6. Whiplash
7. Untouchable
8. Capernaum
9. Your Name
10. Dangal

r/movies subreddit top 10 of the decade
1. Whiplash
2. Mad Max Fury Road
3. Parasite
4. Inception
5. Arrival
6. Blade Runner 2049
7. Spider-Man Into the Spider-Verse
8. The Social Network
9. Interstellar
10. The Grand Budapest Hotel

the only movies appearing on the top 10 on all 3 lists are Parasite and Whiplash. and appearing on all 3 lists + this forum's list as well is just... Parasite!   (as it should )

Spider-Verse almost made it on the IMDB list but Dangal snatched the 10th slot
