I think this is a film where previews won’t matter too much, and it could do some crazy IM The walkups could be insane for it. Movies that appeal to the middle of the country do a have a history of underindexing.
AniNate
People don't typically feel compelled to buy tickets early in flyover country. Sellouts are almost unheard of. Edited June 7 by AniNate

cinema pal
It looks so remake-ish, puts me off. Ads kinda scream at you that the movie must be seen on the biggest screen possible, but I just don't know
Human
The first film is getting sales on home media, but it is nothing compared to how well Beetlejuice is selling.

AniNate
There are EA screenings Wednesday night but obviously nothing to read into there

And in the case of Universal they had really early embargo drops for Monkey Man and The Fall Guy because of SXSW screenings and it did not move the needle in a positive way for either one of them. So why bother.
Krissykins
This opens early on the Wednesday here in the UK too.

Torontofan
Will pass 100-150 million domestic easily and likely do really well on streaming. Disaster movies do well there as there easy simple stories.

People if they go, go for the spectacle regradless of the reviews.

AMC Theaters Enjoyer
I don't like the large range for the Twisters prediction. A 30M difference just feels too uncertain. That said, I don't agree with it. I'm expecting 65M to be on the higher end depending on how sales go in this next month.

Minions and Deadpool will be big, 100 OW and 200 OW. So if Twister make big money too, it will be one of the biggest July Ever! I think: -Despicable Me 4 105m OW and 300m total -Deadpool 180 m OW and 400m total -Twister 75m OW and 200m total.
