One (Chaos Walking) qualifies as “long, loooong list” now? Because I cannot find any other movie where he is the lead which was supposed to be a franchise.

In theory, if Spies in Disguise made money, it most certainly would’ve been a franchise.

Does the general moviegoing audience even know about the Armie Hammer stuff? I feel like all those controversies are only huge on the internet and not irl, same thing with Amber Heard, Letitia Wright, James Gunn, etc...

I doubt they care.

Death on the Nile, counted today at 10am EST for Thursday:

NY (AMC Fresh Meadows 7): 54 (3 showtimes)
Miami (AMC Sunset Place 24): 6 (3 showtimes, only 1 clickable)
Grand Rapids (AMC Grand Rapids 18): 5 (2 showtimes)
Austin (AMC Lakeline 9): 4 (2 showtimes)
Tempe/Phoenix (AMC Centerpoint 11): 14 (3 showtimes)
San Francisco (AMC Metreon 16):
86 (5 showtimes)
LA (AMC Universal): 43 (4 showtimes)

Total tickets sold in 7 theaters: 212.

Comp: The Last Duel (4.8M OW) had on Monday of its release week 74 sold tickets in 6 theaters.

Death on the Nile, counted today at 10am EST for Friday:

NY (AMC Fresh Meadows 7): 35 (4 showtimes, new)
Miami (AMC Sunset Place 24): 4 (3 showtimes)
Grand Rapids (AMC Grand Rapids 18): 6 (2 showtimes)
Austin (AMC Lakeline 9): 4 (2 showtimes)
Tempe/Phoenix (AMC Centerpoint 11): 18 (3 showtimes)
San Francisco (AMC Metreon 16):
72 (5 showtimes)
LA (AMC Universal): 59 (4 showtimes)

Total tickets sold in 7 theaters: 198.

Comps (all counted on Monday for Friday): The Last Duel had 46 sold tickets in 6 theaters,

West Side Story (10.6M OW) had 316 sold tickets,

Nightmare Alley (2.8M OW) had 79 sold tickets,

Jungle Cruise (35.0M OW; not completely fitting but also an film for entertainment with an exotic setting) had 357 sold tickets (but nearly tripled its sales till Thursday)

and Moonfall (10.0M OW) had 185 sold tickets (but no good jumps in the next days; it's final presales number on Thursday was only 368).
House of Gucci's final number (on Friday for Friday) was 1.048.

For the Early Access shows on Wednesday it had today 111 sold tickets in 3 theaters and if I add the AMC Lincoln Square (because it has no showtimes in the AMC Fresh Meadows and NTTD did have) then it's 186 sold tickets.
Comp: NTTD had two days later, on Wednesday for Wednesday, 926 sold tickets in the same 4 theaters (only Fresh Meadows instead of Lincoln Square) so the number of Death on the Nile isn't that bad I guess.

Overall I'm not that pessimistic at the moment: The reviews are solid, IMO this crime novel has more potential than Murder on the Orient Express and the presales jumped decently in my theaters since last week (it were 92 respectively 67 last Wednesday).

Blacklight unfortunately seems to repeat the run of Copshop (2.3M OW). It had today 20 sold tickets in 3 theaters for Thursday and 3 in 3 theaters for Friday.
Copshop had also on Monday of its release week 18 and 11 sold tickets (on both days in 7 theaters).

Tomorrow Marry Me and Uncharted (if I have the time).

Just a heads up for those tracking, but there appears to be early access screenings happening at AMC and Regal on March 1/2. I’m not sure how wide this is or how many locations are involved.

At this point in time I am seeing 50 for the 1st and 13 for the 2nd, all for Regals.  Nothing for AMC yet.

I can see the AMC ones on the app. It says, “AMC Investor Connect Screening: The Batman”. Can’t imagine it’ll be too many shows but it could marginally effect comps.

Not only are there early access Tuesday showings, but they go on sale earlier too

That’s annoying

Gotta make their way to that March record somehow :sparta:

Ah, yeah I just meant on my showtimes source.  Probably just haven't populated yet.  From the link Grim22 just shared it looks like 363 theaters
