Looking at the schedule it's more likely than not that both Black Adam and Ticket to Paradise will still be in the top 10 on Thanksgiving weekend given how few wide releases (7, would be 8 if Glass Onion's box office was going to be reported) November has overall.

Will be interesting to see what happens to ticket sales when Cavill is confirmed today because of the worldwide premiere. Have a feeling sales will BLOW UP

probably overestimating how much the GA gives a crap about henry cavill as superman

The GA i think hardly cares for Superman's history with BA and I think Social Media reactions are mostly for the fans and people running around om forums such as this. They are of course interesting because we get a first idea of what word of mouth is gonna be but other than that, as someone said above, a 10-sec cameo is not gonna drive sales. Doesn't mean though that audiences don't care for HC as superman. He has his fans that make it wise enough to use his version than having another reboot .

Just like a 10 second post-credit connection to the MCU won't boost Venom 2, right?

I don't think we really know how it'll play.  But we do have an example in Let There Be Carnage where a surprise cameo and a better than expected reception fueled pre-sales.

Now there is a major difference in that the MCU was/is at a very high high and just connecting to it could have driven interest in LTBC and that won't be at play here given the general mood of fandom concerning the DCEU.

Still... Wouldn't discount the value of Good Buzz no matter what the reason.

I think it will drive things to a certain extent but it'll be hard to parse this from a normal reactions bump. Plus the connection for Venom wasn't just to the MCU, it was to NWH specifically, which had a lot of extra factors in addition to MCU fandom. NWH was a ridiculously hyped movie, I don't think any Cavill return as Superman is as big of a deal.

I don't think it did. Venom just had bad couple of days after that it was matching Shang Chi and eventually Black Widow in final days.

I dunno.  The bump occurred simultaneously with those fan screenings and all of the buzz from them.

And if it was matching Shang-Chi without the benefit of a social media/review embargo lift, then I think the buzz from the fan screenings is the most likely explanation.
