It's weird that I keep seeing The Northman sold as "Oscar winner Nicole Kidman's new movie." Love me some NK but isn't her role minor? And her box office track record is spotty to put it kindly.

This derby has been one of the most intresting in 2022 so far IMO. Three new non-IP openers it's something you rarely see.

Seems like all three openers are headed for acceptable numbers for the entire weekend. The Bad Guys hitting $20M+ would be a nice surprise and prove that there's still an audience for animated movies. Bodes well for Lightyear in two months.

It feels like none of them will be crazy frontloaded.

Verified Score stand at 77% right now, which is not good but also not awful (for reference, TGK had 63% at the same point). I expect a B-/B
