That was one of the irritating parts about the Boba Fett series was that it turned into Mandalorian 2.5 in the second half and basically undid the S2 finale by the end

eh, it's a lone wolf and cub show and they don't wanna fuck with the dynamic. most of the casual viewers are in it for the baby.
