Only MoM will be ahead of Dominion without China.

And let's not forget Dominion is by far the worst reviewed blockbuster in not just 2022 but in past few years.

That's why it did ONLY 1 Billion.

I definitely thought it was the weakest of the World movies but it wasn't "that" bad. 5.5/10 C+

FK 7.5/10 B+

JW 8.5/10 A

Doctor Strange 100% would have. It felt underwhelming without China but when you break it down the movie performed about as well as expected. With China you're looking at minimum $1.1B worldwide which seems way more "right".

As opposed to something like Love and Thunder which genuinely disappointed regardless of China.

To be fair, THOR: LOVE AND THUNDER actually made a better total than THOR: RAGNAROK internationally. It was BLACK PANTHER: WAKANDA FOREVER that really struggled for obvious reasons.

RAGNAROK

$403.0 M without China and Russia

LOVE AND THUNDER

$417.7 M without China and Russia

BLACK PANTHER

$557.4 M without China and Russia

WAKANDA FOREVER

$375.3 M without China and Russia

That's a $180 M drop for BP: WF.

---

Based on the previous movies' box office, how do you think Marvel's titles will perform next year?

ANT-MAN AND THE WASP

$406.0 M overseas total

$279.4 M without China and Russia

GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY II

$473.9 M overseas total

$345.3 M without China and Russia

CAPTAIN MARVEL

$701.6 M overseas total

$527.4 M without China and Russia

I'm thinking:

ANT-MAN AND THE WASP: QUANTUMANIA

$300 M - $350 M

GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY III

$400 M - $450 M

THE MARVELS

$400 M - $450 M

I mean even MoM , Thor also had mixed reviews. Otherwise MoM would have crossed 1B without China and Thor would have been more than Ragnarok without China

Just Mixed though..... MoM was comfortably over 75% on RT, and Thor is over 65%.

Dominion is 29% that is pathetic level. That's bottom tier Reviews.

Notice how not a single human dies jn the entire series tho.

It's all cartoonish gore from fictional monsters. Usually when age rating systems prioritize graphicness of gore, human gore is considered more graphic than creature gore.

Take Godzilla vs Kong for example where a skullcrawler gets bisected vertically in a splurge of green blood. Also Kong beheads and eats the neck arteries of a warbat. In Kong Skull Island, a skullcrawler's stomach and intestines literally get ripped out through its tongue.

If this same stuff happened to people on screen these media would be rated r.

I was originally replying to your comment on how no one dies in OPM. And yes gore is pretty tame compared to something like Shigurui: Death Frenzy or horror anime for that matter, mainly because it's a part parody of battle shounen.

Although I forgot to mention but genos gets destroyed almost all encounter he faces 😂😂

My original point still stands. The audience reception to both MoM and Thor is mixed. Both of them don't have A cinemascore

I'm thinking Ant man will stay flat from previous entry so around ~600M even without China. Guardians will also same stay flat or increase little from g2 if no china. Marvels will drop though maybe around 700-800M

For me, it's a 4/10 movie lol.

I used to think that I'm incapable of hating a MCU movie and Disliking a Jurassic Movie.

2022 proved me wrong, i got a Jurassic Movie that i disliked and an MCU movie which i hated.

Jurassic world is a pretty reasonably fun flick imho, not the greatest film but decent enough watch. The two sequels on the other hand...yeah...

Decent enough only if you turn off your brain and don't look for good director work with building suspence or any intensity in "scary scenes".

Marvels is headed for a huge drop unless it has a amazing trailer that knocks your socks off.

Jurasshit Worlds are one of the most hated films of the last decade for me. The first one is basically one dumb Sci-Fi Channel film for $150m (I gave it 3/10 after I left theater, now I it's something like 4/10 because of how bad the sequels are), Fallen Kingdom is 3/10 (great looking and well directed 2h-long trailer for another film) and Dominion is 1/10 (one of the worst films of the year).

I know now we're all wondering if Avatar can catch Rogue One, but my dream is The Way of Water with at least $654m domestic final to kick out of the domestic Top9 of all time this awfull Jurassic shit movie :P
