M3GAN W33K3ND THR3AD | ACTUALS - DADDY CAM3RON'S MAGNUM OPUS 45.8M | DOCUM3NTARY ABOUT KILL3R DOLL 30.4M | ORANG3 PANTH3R 13.5M

26+ OW for Megan would make it top-tier for post pandemic OWs for non-IP

Nope- 44.3m

Lost City- 30.4m

Free Guy- 28.3m

Higher than Smile (22.6m), Don't Worry Darling (19.3m), etc

Also in terms of Blumhouse, higher than Black Phone (23.6m) and same range as Happy Death Day (26m)

Only "original" Blumhouse films that opened over 26m:

Split- 40m (but technically...)

The Purge- 34m

Get Out- 33.3m

The Invisible Man- 28.2m (but technically...)

Puss in Boots getting Great Treatment by the early VOD release. Bless Universal.

Corrected. PVOD is known to not affect animated films Box Office, it worked for them with Sing 2, that released early on PVOD and Trolls world tour.

Clearly they forgot IWDWS as it is for sure going to do more than Babylon's 400k Friday since it more than that all week long including on Thursday.  All projections had it over 2 million for the weekend and yet they list Babylon at 1.3 million right after Black Panther at 3.1 million.  Also IWDWS barely lost theaters compared to Babylon.

Deadline's Friday/weekend estimates:

M3GAN: $11.4m Friday (with previews), $26.7m weekend

Avatar: $10m Friday, $37m weekend

Puss: $2.5m Friday, $10m weekend

Otto: $1.2m Friday, $3.4m weekend

Up 23% on the same weekend last year.

isn't panther on stream already so wouldn't the number be low

*orange

BP2 is not on streaming, Disney is a case by case basis, lot of their movies get like 2 months window before Disney+ and or PVOD even in 2021.

Very clear Avatar's weekend pattern going forward will be Weak Friday/Through the Roof Saturday/Strong Sunday. The three hour runtime only lets most people see it during prime evening hours on Friday (6:30-8:30PM).
