Overall really impressive numbers and bode well for Trolls Thursday previews to speed up once we're past this.

I have about 25 theaters I routinely check around the country, and this morning I found that TET had tickets for sale on Friday, November 10 at 9 of those theaters. Given that most theaters are only pre-loading The Marvels, The Holdovers, It's a Wonderful Knife and Journey to Bethlehem this far out, it seemed like a vote of confidence in TET that 9 of them also have showings for sell a week out. I checked the 7-8 pm hour shows at some of them and was surprised to see that they already had some sold seats. 

 

For the record, the theaters with TET seats already loaded for 11/10 that I found earlier were: AMC Metreon (SF), AMC Mercado 20 (San Jose, CA), AMC Eastridge (San Jose, CA),, AMC Burbank 16 (Los Angeles), AMC Kips Bay 15 (NYC), Cinemark Pflugerville 20 (TX), Cinemark Fayette Mall & XD (Lexington, KY), AMC Riverview 14 (Tampa) and AMC Veterans 24 (Tampa).

Okay second day. Due to lack of data around this, I don't have much in comps. I was debating doing some single theatre comps, but at this low volume, it seems like its not too relevant. I may do so closer.

 

Even then, I don't have much, but thinking about what might be somewhat relevant of what I do have, does T:ROTB make sense. Similar target weekend. Similar in terms of franchise status, of a once dominant franchise aiming to do a reboot/prequel type of thing.

Took a look around The Usual Suspect and didn't see anything.  Also checked various Twitter accounts and nada.  Likely to get some sort of update when the first weekend numbers get reported, but since this is such a blah weekend, hasn't been an early look at anything yet.

 

If we get no love from Deadline or any of the others @Shawn might be able to bug A24 and/or find out through his channels.

For all the gloom about the holiday movie season Thanksgiving weekend has the potential to have 4 movies do 20+ over if not the 3 days for sure the 5 days.  Wish, Ballad, Napoleon and Trolls.  Know how many did that last year One BP:WF 3 in 21 Encanto, GB:AF and House Of Gucci.

Eternals sold ~2930. // Terrible pace from Eternals. But it was at 81338 by this point and Friday 63624. 

Shang Chi ~5K // I think it started to accelerate ahead and Marvels is not hitting Shang Chi previews. Duh

Guardians 3~ slightly under 8K(reviews dropped in) and Marvels is low 40s% of Guardians. Friday is way more than twice Marvels Friday at this point. 

Flash - Dont have equivalent day data. But  Marvels is around 3/4 of Flash and below its Friday as well. 

 

 

it needs a HUGE CATALYST.
