Sorta what I figured. So something like 35m+ next weekend is possible. God I can see the doom and gloom on the kaiju forums now…..

Stick with us. We got cookies. And blackjack. And hookers. Really, we got everything.

While some of you debate 'Dune' vs. 'GxK' Zaslav is saying "why not both?".   WB is putting out hit after hit.

Who is debating this, there's no Dube vs GxK.

Both different types of movies, both doing good at box office, both have given audience a good time in theater.

Coexistence is the key, there's also Kung Fu Panda doing well with them.

Canadians love Timothee. After all, he is super fluent in French.

What I would give to have this man speak beautiful (or dirty 👀) to me in French. Won't understand a word he's saying, but he's so....so sexy when he speaks French. 😍

By the way, I am a native French speaker and his accent speaking French is one of the best out there. Like other celebrities try, and that's commendable, but he's on another level.

For sure he almost nearly sounds like a native. Incredible. Even if he makes a few mistakes here and there (mostly words borrowed from English), the actual accent (intonation, way of speaking) is 100% on point. And that's the hardest part of French to get.

The only American who speaks better French is Jodie Foster, and that's because her accent is essentially native as she went to school in French from a young age. Her French is, quite simply, flawless.

But his is close second in terms of non-native celebrities speaking French.

Edit: They have a French bubble on set according to Denis Villeneuve (the 2 of them speak only French) and that made my day when he said that.

Yeah, I don't think $200M+ domestic is a given off an ~$80M OW, probably take the under slightly for now, though weak April calendar plus good WOM (for genre) could very well push it over.

Something like ~1.9x the OWeek (baseline is around 2.0x, and first week is inflated) is my expectation, though Kong Skull Island managed 2.06x despite facing a stacked release slate, starting with Beauty & Beast and Power Rangers in its 2nd and 3rd weekend respectively

Godzilla doesn’t really have much competition. The next big ‘general audience’ film won’t be until Apes in May.  Dune and Kung Fu Panda should continue have good legs too.
