Daniel Craig says he’d rather kill himself than do another #JamesBond movie http://bit.ly/1PiVbfs

Clickbait but also great marketing imo

Wow, he sounds kinda like a douche in that article. I say see you Craig, next. He was great in Casino Royale and had a ton of potential, but all that potential fizzled in both QoS and Skyfall. He seemed like he was just there for the money in both, and will probably just go through the motions in this one too. On to someone who is actually passionate about the role.

I am ok with him doing 1 or 2 more.

I'm more than OK with him calling it a day.  No need to slash his wrists over it.

I'm not sure why he wants to do another if he's not happy, he doesn't need the money and being Bond seems to have killed his drive to make any other movies.  (or maybe that was the Alien Cowboy thing)  How many movies has he signed on for and dropped out of in the last few years?

I'm don't think that click bait is great marketing though. If he said he loves the role but was feeling his age and it was time to step down then marketing could trump the one last Bond bit (until he lured back for another).  But here it sounds like he hates the role and making these movies and does it for the money. Is that supposed to lure audiences in who weren't already going to see it?

It's been obvious for months this is the last Craig Bond movie, with so much discussion about who the next actor will be.

Post Connery that happens every time a Bond is in production or comes out that isn't an actor's first Bond film. Except for Dalton, then it happened before and during the first.

As I recall Dalton was quite liked during his tenure, it was only in the early 90s people really soured on his take (and then a decade later decided they liked him after all).

As for Craig, the original interview is a lot more playful than those pull quotes make out. No Bond actor has ever enjoyed the filming demands: http://www.timeout.com/london/film/daniel-craig-interview-my-advice-to-the-next-james-bond-dont-be-shit
