Great for Bautista. He did fantastic in GOTG and while this is most certainly going to be a very different role, we do know he can work really well when put with the right people. Guy is getting his acting career off to a great start.

I wonder when we'll get the title for this one. If I remember correctly Skyfall's was revealed on day one of official production, so maybe that will be the same case this time.

Still don't get the backlash against Skyfall. I guess it depends whether you're comparing it to all-time great movies or other Bond films. If it's the latter it's a work of ambitious brilliance, and I say that as someone who's generally an apologist for the up and down nature of the franchise.

It's not really backlash, just disappointment. Skyfall gave a strong sense of being something more...to me it aspired as a film to be something more. A few stupid directorial decisions though prevented it from being something more. Skyfall was good enough, that yes it is being compared to other great films in the genre, and of course to the all-time great Bond films.

For example, I still think Goldeneye is a better Bond film, among others, simply because Goldeneye didn't have several strange directorial decisions detracting from the film.

Now I know a lot of people love Skyfall, and think it's the best Bond film to date, but this is just my opinion.

As far as new Bond movies go a lot of people on the internet seem to prefer Casino Royale to Skyfall (as do I) but the GA fucking loved Skyfall and helped leg it past $300 million (topping the grand finale Twilight film and much hyped Hobbit as the go-to Holiday 2012 blockbuster).

Cant believe how batista (im sorry I can't bring myself to add the 'u') turned his career around. I saw some of his early flicks like wrong side of town and another one with amy smart I think. Definitely did not see hit marvel franchise or bond villain in his future. I thought he'd end up in dtvs with steve austin and vinnie jones.

Props to him though, hope he can crank out a few more good roles, hes got no time to waste considering his age.

Its very possible it makes less than Skyfall, but a gross north of 200m is certain with 250m likely.  Bond is now a top tier franchise at the boxoffice.

Indeed!  Amazing resilience for a franchise that has lasted more than 50 years and never really has been in trouble.

Casino Royale is better than both Goldeneye and Skyfall

Saw CR yesterday again and still amazing. 10/10 and would make my top5 Bond movies alongside Goldfinger, Thunderball, GoldenEye and probably On Her Majesty's Secret Service. Meanwhile... Skyfall has beautiful, beautiful cinematography but it's dumb (or 'meta', I don't know).
