Well, not exactly, but the franchise is being rebooted as an all-animated film with Kelly Asbury directing.

Tisk, tisk, desperate Sony.

At least it's animated movie, not live action.

WOOOOOOW.I've never seen something rebooted this fast. I'm in shock.Spiderman you're next. (Again)

That's a shame- loved the first two

HOW?!!!! I don't know if the second one got better but the first movie was first time my kid decided to walk out of a movie. I was so proud.EDIT: How many comic book franchise reboots have there been now? Edited by AJG

Off the top of my head, Batman Begins, The Amazing Spider-Man, Man Of Steel and the upcoming Fantastic Four film.

Don't forget the "soft" reboot, Incredible Hulk. Technically Batman Forever was a "soft" reboot too, since aside from Commissioner Gordon and Alfred it doesn't acknowledge Burton's films at all.

Incredible Hulk was a reboot period, I wouldn't say it was soft at all.

I am happy they reboot it, because as a person who lives in Belgium (were the smurft were found) I can say the animation show I had as a child was 1000000000 X beter than the life action movies. I hope they do it right other wise the have to drop it, they can't ruin my childhood cause they can make films :D
