I am thinking 30% drop this weekend. Saturday will probably hold better but sunday will suffer in comparison to last week. But its 2nd weekend was so big overall its still at very high level.

The weekdays have been good. Not amazing, but this isn't the time of year to expect great weekdays. Look for it to remain incredible strong on the weekends while the weekdays stay relatively average/normal until the last few days of the year.

However, films that go on to have phenomenal runs (around the multiplier of 20 ) do often post excellent weekdays despite the time of year, so I'm starting to believe Frozen II won't have a phenomenal run. It's clearly still going to put up a massive total that could crack the All-Time Top 5, but we can likely rule out a multiplier of 20 for example. It'll likely fall inline with more traditional uber-blockbuster films with a multiplier around 12 or so (a 12 gets it extremely close to ¥20 billion/$180M).

As for a third weekend prediction, a number around ¥1 billion (as cannastop suggested) sounds reasonable, and attainable. So, it should be aiming for a spot in the Top 5 Biggest Third Weekends.

Btw a phenomenon run in the 20+ multi sense would beat Spirited Away by several ¥B. So yeah, safe to say nobody was expecting anything like that after the OW.

I think that was the reasonable expectation. Still could happen tbh, if falls are a bit worse than typical for an Uber blockbuster in Japan. But I think at least ¥18B looks pretty solid right now.

As long as China + Korea can cover the money drop in Japan, then its nice.

The rest of Asia will join with Europe and Latin America for the job of increasing the OS gross over the first one.

When the movie weekend already stabilized in Japan, how much money we can expect on each weekend?

It's still can get better latter today towards high 20's%, but now seems like already 32-33% decrease. If tomorrow only increase 5-10% as what animation movie usually does then possibly 40-45% decrease over last weekend I guess. 

 

Next weekend is another discount day (14th day of the month) on Saturday, so it should hold very well around 10-15% drop again before SW9 comes to theater on 20th December. Also I don't know if any big local release on next week or on same time as SW9 release.

Can't compare with Frozen 1 because it was not releasing on the same period of time. In latter December and early January, weekend won't be as important compared to weekdays.

I think weekend numbers for F1 is posted in past few pages. You can find that. But as @RJ 95 said different release dates. Plus 8th weekend of F1 was ahead of OW !!!. That cannot be replicated by any movie.

Not exactly. On the 1st of the month all chains offer discount tickets while on the 14th of the month I believe it's only Toho Cinemas and even then only for those who have a pass.
