Jack Nevada
Isn't that the common opinion barring the clitorectomy No, not really. It's quite highly regarded in the more cultured film circles.
baumer
Wes Craven's New Nightmare is a lot better than A Nightmare on Elm Street. Now that's going a bit far.
Vanilla
Star Wars is by far the most over rated film series in history. Don't get the love for these films. This is more about a genre but I can not stand the look of anime. It all looks horrible to me.

Mulder
Rocky Balboa is incredibly overrated and a bad end to the Rocky franchise. Toy Story 3 is mostly annoying and dull. X-Men: Origins Wolverine is actually pretty good and underrated Iron Man is overrated but not bad ((7/10)) and Iron Man 2 is slightly better ((7.5/10)) Thor: The Dark World is one of the best Marvel movies ((8.5/10)) Man of Steel is on Batman Begins' level ((Both are 9/10 IMHO)) Rocky IV is a great and emotional film ((8/10)) Spider-Man's good but not great Pixar as a studio is overrated and is losing their touch

ddddeeee
Wes Craven's New Nightmare is a lot better than A Nightmare on Elm Street. I personally prefer ANOES, but I too think NN is better. ANOES is brilliant but near the end Craven loses control of the world he created. He establishes Freddy has no powers in the real world only for him to disappear into a mattress for example. The rope is there when Nancy come into the prison cell to see Ron hanged, the rules prior to this dictate, as far as Nancy and co were concerned, Ron should have been hanging in the air, no rope. The ending is also obligatory and nonsensical. NN is really clever and original, hard to believe it's the seventh movie in a franchise. Craven's a lot better at confining himself to the world he creates too. Edited April 12, 2014 by ddddeeee
cookie
The only thing worth saving is Eddie Vedder's music. For a movie that tried to make the person it was based on look good it sure made him come across as a massive douche. (FTR I refuse to believe the real Christopher McCandless was that insufferable) Edited April 12, 2014 by C00k13
Jake Gittes
Yeah, I remember the romanticizing of McCandless and his actions felt pretty off. I should watch the movie again, though, it's been like 5-6 years. The soundtrack is great though.
Jake Gittes
Jarmusch's The Limits of Control isn't all that great, but it's much better, and much more self-aware, than people give it credit for.
