fmpro
Pretty strong number. Should finish with 750m worldwide. thats the highest number it can make IMO

keysersoze123
I dont see 300M domestic and so 750M should be very tough. I am thinking of 95/250 kind of domestic run at best. its domestic legs will be impacted by CF in the 3rd weekend plus weekdays are weak in November/Dec and holiday bump wont be that much considering its way too late in its run. Chewy
It says Russia is only "previews" but 7m seems like an opening It's really wide previews but it still wasn't being marketed as an opening

keysersoze123
Asian markets are showing huge increase though Korea not that much as compared to some of the small/mid level markets. Spain has opened 25% lower but I am not surprised.
zackzack
THOR 2 has enthusiastic response from Asia. Somebody should have an aggregated East Asia numbers. That is a substantial market if combined: Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Philippines, Thailand, China, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, HK, and Vietnam. THOR1 made $43M in East Asia without China Edited November 3, 2013 by zackzack
zackzack
It says Russia is only "previews" but 7m seems like an opening Anyway next week figure is no longer apple to apple. So these preview showings are making it difficult to compare...
John Marston
is there example of another film that opened in Russia that had previews? What was its second weekend drop?
peludo
THOR 2 Int'l totals (cont'd): TAI ($4.1M) ESP ($4.1M) MALA ($3.6M) SING ($3M) OTHER ($20.6M) TOTAL ($109.4M) I guess that is Spain. Not good given this has been a 4-day weekend (Friday was national holiday) and Thor 1 opened to 5.6 million. iceroll
Decent opening, definitely not 600m+ like some people were predicting. The domestic opening will probably be under 100m as well.
Fullbuster
is there example of another film that opened in Russia that had previews? What was its second weekend drop? Previews are pretty common in Russia, but they're usually not as wide. Disney decided to release it on November 7th, but wanted to benefit from a Russian holiday tomorrow so.... SentryTrans
Much lower than the admissions of IM3. CA2 or GOTG will make less than Thor 2.
Ent
Only movies this year that had $100+ M weekends overseas are IM3 and FF6....both finishing over or equal to $550M on the foreign front...
