CJohn
If Flight actually opens over 20M it just proves how dumb Paramount really was, and also proves the mighty power of Denzel Washington.
JackO
I guess movies have beaten the storm. That's always a good thing. I am most surprised by Flight Fri numbers. Crazy!

riczhang
Absolutely beautiful numbers, I'm practically spot on for most of them.
MovieMan89
Yes for Ralph! I say 55m for sure with a 15m Friday. Knew it had appealed to a lot of people. And with good WOM and the east coast theaters that are shut this weekend it should have a phenomenal hold next weekend.
TLK
Really great number for Ralph. 50 million+ is pretty much in the same ballpark as summer hits like Brave if you account for Friday being a schoolday. It will be awesome if Flight opens to $20 million from just 1900 theaters.
PatrickvD
Will Disney animation break its opening weekend record again? Tangled broke the 16 year old Lion King record (though not in attendance of course), but Ralph looks to outgross Tangled's 3day weekend.Pretty good I suppose. RichWS
Gosh darn it, I knew I was a couple million too low on Flight.

rockNrollaDIM
Feel like Flight is within standard deviation, maybe slightly above, but Ralph is out of this world. Holy fuck.
Gopher
I don't think Ralph will have a weekend IM as high as something like Hotel Transylvania because Ralph seems to be getting lots more teen/young adult interest. But 14m still means low 50s weekend which is crazy good. Flight's going to open better than Argo despite 1400 less theaters and less outstanding (though certainly good) reviews. Power of Denzel. CoolioD1
A great number for Flight. Imagine how great it would have been if Paramount didn't fuck up the theater count. They're just lucky that Denzel can bring in a crowe.

DAR
If Ralph can get to 50 million then 200 has to be a strong possibilty
grey ghost
Damn, I'm peeved at paramount.Flight could've easily been Denzel's latest 100+ m dollar hit with a proper release.
grey ghost
Iron Fist didn't bomb.It proved alot of naysayers wrong. I guess the Wu Tang brand still has some staying power for the general public. But with a 15 million budget and no overseas market, I don't think it will be profitable until dvd. But that should be enough to launch Rza's directing career. Edited November 3, 2012 by grey ghost
CoolioD1
They could still expand it, right?
