China would be fans of Cap Marverl if it were a better film. Fact is,  it is only a very mediocre MCU ouput.

Honestly I dont feel surprise about the collapse of Captain Marvel in China.

Exactly. Not only the film is just mediocre, it also has the kind of mediocrity that Chinese apparently don't like. My initial feelings about this were correct.

So I maturely accept that China isn't going for this and that warnings that the market is unpredictable should be taken very seriously. My bad for dismissing the latter. but I fully expect that other OS markets will have good holds. after all, BR showed a movie can make 660M OS w/o China. CM's 1B is locked and it's gonna be sweeter without much help from the biggest market in the world.

The trend is par Spider-man:Homecoming, it added ¥240mn after ¥41mn and ¥31mn Monday and Tuesday, and I expect CM to do in that range.
