So where is Aquaman going to end in China? Is 300M still on the table or BB hurt it?

 

Yeah, Pikachu and TLK are gonna be huge but I hope Pikachu will be a little bit huger cause that's unexpected. Most money's on TLK and I like upsets. Either way, furry gingers will dominate 2019 (Pikachu, TLK, Goose from CM).

Also, unrelated, did Wolf Warriors 2 do a similar effect to gross that much or was it repeat viewing?

Many theater managers can feel that many people who never went to cinema came to there for the first time when wolf warrior 2 was showing(so many people asked theater staffs where the parking was). 

 

I think Lion King have more effect than most Hollywood films for older audience. These people don't like to see foreign language films/cultures. They prefer to see local titles in cinema. Some may go there only when Chinese New Year is coming or films like Wolf Warrior 2 shows. They have no interest in HLW. Superhero is popular in young audience but ridiculous to older generations. For them, HLW is hard to appreciate. Lion King can be different because it's more about animals.

I am optimistic with TLK to win the year. But to reach Avatar is really hard IMO (unless China turns crazy for Simba and makes 700-800 million)

Kidding aside, how much do you guys think Avatar 2 could make in China? Considering how huge it was back in the day and what the market is now, could it hit like 500-600 M there alone?
