Not even close. Lion King did almost $1.6 million in 2 theaters in 1994

Oops, I meant live action films. Disney animated films used to get ridiculously high PTA's for some reason, not sure why. The highest non-animated I think is The Master....EDIT: I just checked, and its some Horror (?) film called Red State. Made 204K from 1 theatre. Edited by riczhang

Why would anyone in their right minds pay ridiculous amounts of money to see that movie? And, apparently they're 50-120 bucks. If you're gonna spend that money to see a money at least see a good movie. ;)

Nov 5-7:The slump is over. Dragon Age takes the castle… the dragon castle, by storm! Easily dominating the Box Office at a level reminding us of the summer. The limited releases do well in their few theaters, but none of them are in enough theaters to come close to the top 10, yet. Most of the films have steep drops… especially Vast Dark 4.1. Dragon Age 2: 83,341,598 (1st week)2. Dogs of Babel 15,589,875 (2nd week)3. Vast Dark 4: 10,897,651 (2nd week)4. Fright Town 2: 6,888,086 (3rd week)5. Empty Hearth: 6,673,528 (3rd week -First Wide)6. Cruisers - Second Gear: 4,068,766 (4th week)7. Monster Mash: 2,405,361 (6th week)8. Halloweentown II: 2,303,990 (6th week)9. The Fault in Our Stars: 1,793,792 (5th week)10. Past Tense: 1,062,202 (7th week)Everyman -- 381,227 (1st week - Limited)Catharsis -- 336,102 (1st week - Limited)Claustrophobia -- 227,156 (1st week Limited)Nov 12-14:Billy Bob Thornton and Mila Kunis couldn’t stop Dragon Age 2 from easily holding on to the top spot. Empty Hearth is already up in 4th place despite being in about a third of the theaters of the big guys.1. Dragon Age 2: 47,179,678 (2nd week)2. Santa Claus: Ultimate Badass: 22,339,427 (1st week)3. Dogs of Babel: 9,054,601 (3rd week)4. Empty Hearth: 7,187,445 (4th week -Second Wide)5. Vast Dark 4: 4,137,838 (3rd week)6. Fright Town 2: 3,435,777 (4th week)7. Cruisers - Second Gear: 2,167,839 (5th week)8. Halloweentown II: 1,3798,596 (7th week)9. Monster Mash: 1,286,147 (7th week)10 .Catharsis -- 955,604 (2nd week - Limited)Everyman -- 673,222 (2nd week - Limited)Claustrophobia -- 556,192 (2nd week Limited)Nov 19-21:Three of the slow-releasing films manage to get on the Top 10. But the real story here is Worlds Apart, getting past all except for the most optimistic expectations to snatch up an easy first place. Celia - A Slave did better than expected as well.1. Worlds Apart: 83,422,198 (1st week)2. Dragon Age 2: 26,925,443 (3rd week)3. Celia - A Slave: 25,349,466 (1st week)4. Santa Claus: Ultimate Badass: 10,635,801 (2nd week)5. Empty Hearth: 8,126,309 (5th week -Third Wide)6. Everyman -- 3,904,127(3rd week - First Wide)7. Dogs of Babel: 5,093,212 (3rd week)8 .Catharsis -- 2,207,148 (3rd week - Less Limited)9. Vast Dark 4: 1,696,928 (4th week)10. Fright Town 2: 1,645,394 (5th week)Claustrophobia -- 985,129 (3rd week Less Limited)November 24-28:With Thanksgiving all up ons us, the movies are showing plenty of life. Worlds Apart managed to fend off Ratchet & Clank, while overall the films held well, with Empty Hearth having a good final expansion. Claustrophobia still could not crack the Top 10, but it broke a million in its weekend box office.1. Worlds Apart: 55,734,370/75,198,221 (2nd week)2. Ratchet & Clank: 48,424,688/69,537,118 (1st week)3. Dragon Age 2: 20,799,904/26,102,441 (4th week)4. Celia - A Slave: 18,568,484/23,146,808 (2nd week)5. Really good for Empty Hearth. Probably gonna hit 100 million. Really nice for Worlds Apart as well, gonna hit at least 200-250 million now. And, great for Catharsis as well, being a Terrence Malick movie and all.

Can't wait for December. Got all my films except for 2 very minor films out of the way, and nothing's disappointed or turned a loss thus far. Gonna be interesting to see which of the 2 Dawn or SpellForce will end up winning, because the way I see it is that the market really isn't big enough for the both of them to open up on the same week so one of them will probably disappoint with slightly lower than expected figures (but still huge ;) ).

Looking through my Revenue and Profit excel document and I'm still shocked that I managed to spend 806 million making movies the first year I played, which is about 200 million more than this year despite not having many big budget films the first year I played.
