The Dark Alfred
I'm glad that both Giant Spiders 2 and Vast Dark 4 opened above 40m. GS2 hit 100m, which bodes well for the epic third installment with Liam Neeson and Chuck Norris lol Edited December 2, 2012 by Alfred Unchained

riczhang
Not even close. Lion King did almost $1.6 million in 2 theaters in 1994Oops, I meant live action films. Disney animated films used to get ridiculously high PTA's for some reason, not sure why. The highest non-animated I think is The Master....EDIT: I just checked, and its some Horror (?) film called Red State. Made 204K from 1 theatre. Impact
Yeah that was due to Kevin Smith having the tickets be EXTREMLY high, nobody knows how high they were, but you had to be super rich to see it.

riczhang
Why would anyone in their right minds pay ridiculous amounts of money to see that movie? And, apparently they're 50-120 bucks. If you're gonna spend that money to see a money at least see a good movie. Edited December 2, 2012 by riczhang

Electric
Nov 5-7:The slump is over. Dragon Age takes the castle… the dragon castle, by storm! Easily dominating the Box Office at a level reminding us of the summer. The limited releases do well in their few theaters, but none of them are in enough theaters to come close to the top 10, yet. Most of the films have steep drops… especially Vast Dark 4.1. Dragon Age 2: 83,341,598 (1st week)2. Dogs of Babel 15,589,875 (2nd week)3. Vast Dark 4: 10,897,651 (2nd week)4. Fright Town 2: 6,888,086 (3rd week)5. Empty Hearth: 6,673,528 (3rd week -First Wide)6. Cruisers - Second Gear: 4,068,766 (4th week)7. Monster Mash: 2,405,361 (6th week)8. Empty Hearth is already up in 4th place despite being in about a third of the theaters of the big guys.1. Dragon Age 2: 47,179,678 (2nd week)2. Santa Claus: Ultimate Badass: 22,339,427 (1st week)3. riczhang
Really good for Empty Hearth. Probably gonna hit 100 million. Really nice for Worlds Apart as well, gonna hit at least 200-250 million now. And, great for Catharsis as well, being a Terrence Malick movie and all. riczhang
Can't wait for December. Got all my films except for 2 very minor films out of the way, and nothing's disappointed or turned a loss thus far. Gonna be interesting to see which of the 2 Dawn or SpellForce will end up winning, because the way I see it is that the market really isn't big enough for the both of them to open up on the same week so one of them will probably disappoint with slightly lower than expected figures (but still huge ).

riczhang
Looking through my Revenue and Profit excel document and I'm still shocked that I managed to spend 806 million making movies the first year I played, which is about 200 million more than this year despite not having many big budget films the first year I played.
