Weekend#s BD2 $43.1M/$227M, Skyfall 36/221.7, Linc 25/62.2, Rise 24/32.6, Pi 22/30.2, Ralph 16.8/1

So Skyfall and Breaking Dawn II are both looking to do $275-300 million, which means November 2012 will have had two films that ultimately sold 34-38 million tickets. Wreck-It Ralph is looking to sell at least 20-22 million, and tons of films have potential for 10-12 million. Looking at this just shows how strong this month has been. For reference no other month this year had more than one film sell 30 million tickets.

But no one goes to the movies anymore!!

Lots of films had a awesome 3-day and 5-day, there, I've said my on-topic bit.Now reaching back a page or two: Octavia Spencer was the worst part of The Help and her winning as Oscar, let alone being nominated, was a fucking travesty.

Loving the big numbers this weekend. Saw Skyfall for the 2nd time today. Audience still digging it, theater was packed. I'm not ruling out 300m and that puts it in the same league as the first two Mission Impossible films adjusted. Extrmemely impressive for Bond considering where some of its most recent outings are comparitively.Breaking Dawn 2 also seems poised to push to 300m depending if it can start to gain ground on New Moon and eventually hold better than it over the holidays. Not impossible but I'd say 285-290m seems to be a more reasonable finishing point.Great weekend for Lincoln. I've yet to see it but I am happy it is enjoying success as Spielberg has been on a bit of a cold streak lately so its good to see him come back strong.

am I the only one thinking Wreck it Ralph is not doing that great? I would think with the great reviews combined with nostalgia for older viewers it would be able to reach 200m but that is not happening clearly

It passed Megamind and Puss in Boots in four weekends. It dropped -10% against two new family movies. Rich Moore has been given the greenlight for a sequel. It's a really big hit.
