4815162342
Glad Game of Thrones won, even a weaker season of it is still stronger than the rest of the shows on air right now.
Napoleon
I'm so happy for the show Too bad Lena didn't win
Spidey Freak
Poor Lena. Maybe the body double did her in after all. But I really can't comment as I don't know how much of a powerhouse Uzo Aduba is. Love this GoT sweep or hate it, there's no denying that this is a big, BIG victory for "special genre" television. Gone are the days when a "silly fantasy" show like Buffy the Vampire Slayer would deliver some of the best episodes of the time but still be stigmatized when it came to the big categories. So crazy to think that GoT did what Star Trek couldn't.
ShouldIBeHere
I surely would have been happy for the show 2-3 seasons ago. But oh well.
Leyla
wow I usually dont follow Emmys & gave up on Got actually winning but YAYYY! well deserved even though this season I find inferior & Peter my hero won!!!! the hair tho was weirdly styled wooooooooooooooooo my day just got brighter Edited September 21, 2015 by Lady of Lorien
ladyevenstar22
well colour me shocked !!!!! happily shocked but yeah mostly shocked !! i don't think it has sinked in that GOT actually won the best drama emmy !!!! its hardly been an hour since i found out ... i saw the thread last night but i didnt even look because why bother ,every year for the most part the emmys are just so frustrating to watch that i just figured it would be more of the same .... this feels like when ROTK sweeped the oscars with notable difference the 3rd lotr movie was at its peak quality wise whereas this latest season of GOT while still pretty good left a lot to desire during its run but ehhh it is known the emmys rarely give a show its due when they ought to ... congrats GOT like wow !!!
ladyevenstar22
Kit acting like he was going to be the next Redmayne if he hadn't been "tied to GoT". I can imagine what the "amazing parts" must have been. White Moses in Exodus? White Ali Baba in that movie currently circling Liam Hemsworth? And if they were actual good movies, then bullet dodged... for the movies. Beforehand apology to Cozmees and Lady Arwen/X-Files TVnovelas. *Scoots like Varys anyway.* its ok , you know i think some roles just fit actors like a glove and that's the case with kit for jon snow , i can't imagine anyone else playing him and i won't lie but so far his other movies haven't been great fit to his acting strengths...but i don't despair for him he just needs to find that role, i get the gist of what he's saying its hard portraying someone else when you can't change your look at all due to another contracted role , all of his other movies its hard to shake off that jon snow pop culture status ... for sure the first thing he'll do is cut his hair off and frankly must be a relief knowing you got a steady job for however long that is which shouldnt be more than a couple more years at best right ? i have yet to see his latest film though some ww2 movie i think something about a woman writer i think ? Game of Thrones is also a much better show than Buffy the Vampire Slayer or Star Trek.
CoolioD1
I'm just saying if I had some kind of rick and morty dimension jumper device and we went to the universe where Game of Thrones was the exact same show but on STARZ it's awards history would be very different indeed. it's the same w/ all these shows.
rockNrollaDIM
Aw I wish Lena won. More deserving than Uzo IMO, though she is good. Congrats to GOT for all the other big wins though. Including best drama, wow. Edited September 21, 2015 by SlayDIM

Spidey Freak
buffy the vampire slayer would still get snubbed today I feel like. the fact that game of thrones is a HBO show makes a hell of a difference. It has to be seen within time and social contexts as well. In this day and age of Katniss, Sheldon Cooper and general rise of the nerd culture, a Buffy will still be good but hardly the trailblazer it truly was when it debuted in the mid-90's. I'm just saying if I had some kind of rick and morty dimension jumper device and we went to the universe where Game of Thrones was the exact same show but on STARZ it's awards history would be very different indeed. it's the same w/ all these shows. If GoT were on STARZ, a LOT of things would be different other than its awards history. Sometimes biases are formed for good reasons. 4815162342
Someone several days back posted an alleged synopsis of what is going to happen in Season 6. It was pretty much debunked but still an interesting read. Some stuff seeming likely, some stuff seeming plausible, some stuff seeming unlikely, and some stuff seeming trollolololol ridiculous. MovieMan89
Kind of annoying both times Dinklage has won now have been for his weakest seasons (1 and 5). Seasons 2 and 4 are far and away the ones he deserved it for. Maybe 3 too.

Season 2 I would personally have nominated him for lead actor, since he was by far and away the most dominant character/presence that season in the most important of the plot centers.

Kalo
So something really weird just happened I've been watching season 5 of GoT on amazon by buying the episodes. which are usually $2.99 an episode. for some reason they were all listed as $0.67. so I just bought the 7 I hadn't yet for.. $4.
