Weekend Estimates (Easter 2013) pg 13

The marketing from last year, plus 5-10M for the 3D conversion. It wasn't cheap. I'm sure they spent more then they wanted to.

Yeah, should be around 220M with marketing. But Viacom is Viacom and merchandising will be huge.

GI Joe's production budget is probably closer to $150 million. This $135 million cost was being bandied about last year before they added 3D and did any reshoots. They ran super bowl ad last year for GI Joe 2 and the regular ad campaign had already started when the movie was pushed back so its ad cost is also much higher than $50 million. Nevertheless, this is a pretty solid start for the movie and they will likely make money in the end.

Was 125M before 3D.

You belive reshoots and 3D only cost 5M ?

10M and Clash of the Titants convert did cost 7M 3 years ago. Didn't see that movie but people think reshoots were not huge. Probably just 3D.

She beat the 200m worldrecord of Marita Koch http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marita_Koch

who also never confessed using steroids, but whose 400m world record like Flo-Jo's 100m and 200m worldrecords will remain unbeatable for a very long time. Marita Koch's 47.60 over 400m, compare with 400m winning time in London(2012) 49.55

Neither Krabbe nor Jones, both drug-assisted could get near Flo-Jo's times. If you want to believe an athlet, who ended her carreer as soon as drug testing became more rigoruos , do so.

Um I've never heard of her until today but you seem to have a personal vendetta against her.  She died from suffering an unexpected severe epileptic seizure, she didn't commit suicide... and it's quite tragic.  The coroner's didn't find any traces of drugs when they did an autopsy. To talk so much shit about someone who died so tragically is kind of uncalled for.

Well, Tatum is in no more than 5 minutes of this in the beginning, so I strongly doubt that.

20 minutes. They added the panties scene and them playing Video games. You can tell those were re-shoots. The coloring didint even fit the movie lol

If they added anything, it was the video game scene and the cupcake scene. Neither of which were scenes that would've broke the bank. Both could've been made pretty cheaply.

As for the cost of the movie overall vs the first one, remember, the first GIJoe had a TON of computer special effects. All the underwater scenes and the Ripcord plane scenes and the Pit scenes and especially the Paris scene probably cost a whole lot of money.

It felt like they went with a few more practical special effects in this second one, as opposed to CG.

Plus the first one felt like it had a much bigger cast.

I can definitely see how they cut down costs for this second one.

Theyre funny yes, but the well written aspect is not accurate.

In your opinion maybe, but for the most part they are well written. Madea has a very devoted fanbase and he writes what they want him to write.
