  1. Well, CA:CW is a CBM movie after all, frontloaded is guaranteed. But that number is pretty good. 400m+ here we come.
  2. So Zoo should pass KFP on Wednesday? It has been a very leggy run where the spikes are kind of muted. Great run still!

  4. Superhero fatigue? Or maybe Disney is expecting WOM to build the demand?
  5. Nice summary about China box office in 2016: http://chinafilminsider.com/china-box-office-april-gross-pulled-down-24-weak-film-crop/ 2016 Box Office – North America vs. China Month North America (USD) China (USD) January $1,037,630,000 $583,400,000 February $797,910,000 $1,048,000,000 March $948,560,000 $580,167,000 April $698,830,000 $480,000,000 Total $3,482,930,000 $2,691,567,000
  6. http://web-japan.org/kidsweb/explore/calendar/april/schoolyear.html The Japanese school year begins in April, not in September like in the United States and other countries. The first term runs to around July 20, when summer vacation begins. Kids return to school in early September for the second term, which lasts until about December 25. The final term begins in early January and continues to late March.
  7. No, China is nearing the end of the run, it can probably do about $10M for the rest of its run. That's why it would need strong performance in SK and Japan
  8. Not quite $3M, but 145k attendance is pretty nice. So, this is like 10x last week? Awesome!
  9. Hopefully, the total stays above AOU. Yes, CW has one day more - that should be the measuring stick.
  10. A lookback at Zootopia's run in China vs. the still on-going run in the US. Except for the beginning where WOM was building up and the faster drop-off of the 6-week run, the chart looks very similar for both of them.
  11. So, 10.4m over the weekend OS. 7.4m from Japan About 0.5m from SK About 0.8m from Germany About 0.8m from UK? HK still has some revenue. 10.4m seems to make more sense than 8.3. Or just wait for Monday, when they will report the actual numbers.
  12. It's better to take the Deadline numbers on Monday actuals. The Sunday estimate is usually still moving around.
  13. purple minion got it. It's the 2nd highest in local currency only, not in USD.
  14. Deadline report: http://deadline.com/2016/04/captain-america-box-office-opening-international-results-1201745767/
  15. Wait a minute. There is no need for a poster to "own up" that their prediction is wrong. This is childish and you are in the wrong for it. No one is blaming anyone else for a wrong prediction except you. That is what rubbing people in the wrong way, and you really should stop that. Otherwise, we will be losing more valuable posters left and right.
  16. It's admission number. http://www.koreanfilm.or.kr/jsp/news/boxOffice_Daily.jsp?mode=BOXOFFICE_DAILY About $4.3m
  17. 148 cr nett is already at USD 30.7m gross. I agree $35M is the next target.
