baumer
That's correct and just to sweeten the deal, had Norton committed suicide or passed on due unfortunate circumstances would've also benefitted TIH over TDK.. I was watching TDK a couple of weeks ago on TNT, and that bank scene with a school bus backed into the side of this bank and inside the lobby was the most absurd scene that was so implausible that in REAL life and considering this movie is supposed to be in a real world setting, the Alarms would've went off, the SWAT Team would've arrived and the JOKER and his goons would've been gunned down in a record time..

OMG, BKB brings realness and exposes Nolan`s realism as fake! You should drop the challenge at Nolan Fans. oMG, that would be epic!
fishstick
The AVENGERS Domestic Box Office > The DARK KNIGHT'S Domestic Box Office.. But TDK didn`t have 3D! I just love it that BKB applauds to himself. Edited May 12, 2013 by fishnets

Neo
It's true and it's not nonsense.. The only nonsense is your refusal to acknowledge it and accept it.. Ledger's death sold TDK more than the goofy plot and implausibilities throughout the movie itself... Do you even hear what you are saying, sometimes I don't know what to say. I can guarantee you either way TDK over TIH. Do you really think that resulted in 400M worth of tickets being sold? TDK used Batman's most iconic villain as can be seen with Batman 89 it to made bank then and adjusts to 450M today.
MrPink
But TDK didn`t have 3D! I just love it that BKB applauds to himself. But the Avengers didn't use one of their leads as a sacrificial lamb! Damn Nolan and his Faustian deals.

Neo
TIH was mostly hurt by Ang Lee's piss poor attempt at the character and as a result, TIH suffered in that degree.. However, TIH was head and shoulders above anything TDK had to offer including the goofy implausible bank robbery.. TDK received far too much credit for it's own good that in 2013, couldn't carry Tony Stark's jockstrap.. Talk about implausibility, look at the whole gamma ray situation. This is not a discussion on implausibility anyways, its on box office, FACT: Anyway you spin it TDK over TIH. Well TDK destroyed IM1 and IM2. How can you spin that, even in your pro-Marvel mind?

Noctis
The Dark Knight destroys The Avengers...it's not even a question. You may think The Avengers is ok, but that's fine, you're all entitled to your wrong opinion. NOTHING in The Avengers comes even remotely close to this scene. Impact
IM3 will probably end up around 430M. That is at least my guess for now.
John Marston
I agree TDK is better than The Avengers. However the Avengers certainly beats the crap out of The Dark Knight Rises
