Gopher
Does anyone notice TC just did $20M? What Friday thread is this? If it's really 20+ then that would be the most impressive box office figure of the season. 40-50m OW for an original horror movie is nuts.
Dr Awesome
That's great for The Conjuring! I haven't seen buzz like this for a horror movie since The Purge (that movie sucked in so many levels). Kudos to the advertising though! That picture of the sign that priest are available for counsel really hyped people up and from what I've heard it really did live up to it. As for R.I.P.D. yaouch! And Turbo could have done better if it was released in May.

Mango
There are just too many "big" animated movies. DM2 and Monsters University just soaked up everything the consumer's had to give to Turbo. Planes will not make it big either, and might not even hit $100 million. The next animated movie that even has $150 million potential will be Frozen. DAR
I think if Planes makes it to 50 or 60 million it will be considered a success
Incarnadine
Does anyone notice TC just did $20M? What Friday thread is this? Damn, that is one impressive jump for The Croods this week, and from just over 200 screens too.

narniadis
Theater was nutso but not as bad as the last couple of weekends. TC and R2 both had sellouts out R2 showing was great really think this film will show some legs despite the competition.
