cookie
The new golden standard of modern theme park design (well OK, tied with both Potter areas at Uni Orlando). Make it a three-way with Mount Prometheus at Tokyo DisneySea.

Because critically its not debatable the Cars series (both entries) are a step below from almost (if not all) the other entries in the Pixar collection.

If you asked me what a 200m+ direct to video movie looked like... Cars 2.
goldenstate5
Scanlon is a strong choice, although this feels like a demotion. It's a little bewildering to think that we've reached a point where he is an actual better choice than the last movie's director: John Lasseter. AniNate
Hard now not to think of Scanlon as the guy who does the jobs the senior brain trust doesn't want to do. Him being at the helm doesn't change my feelings much on this. Lasseter hadn't made a bad film either before Cars

MrFanaticGuy34
Well....as much as i liked the 2 Cars-films.....they aren't really 2 of Pixar's strongest films. They're enojyable but....they're not amazing. Edited February 23, 2016 by MrFanaticGuy34
MrFanaticGuy34
It's not like the other animated franchises, like Shrek, Toy Story, Ice Age, Monsters, KFP, HTTYD, Madagascar & Despicable Me....where those animated franchises were bigger than they ever were....in terms of box office. Also...we need to keep in mind, the Madagascar franchise got better and better with each sequel. The first Madagascar had mixed reception from critics when it came out....but the 2 sequels earned more positive ratings. The Despicable Me-franchise also had great box office results.....especially with the spinoff, "Minions" which made over $1.159B WW. The Cars-franchise though.......it seemed that it didn't have the critical reception, that the other animated franchises had.
