Yeah, I don't like it when I watch a movie and it feels like watching a play.  It proves to be boring, even if as a play it's invigorating.

Tarantino is definitely critic friendly. You can like a movie with a bad RT score and not make excuses for it. It has a great runtime!

A good argument why this can be great.

 

But this a box office forum.  And Resevoir Dogs isnt a good counter for box office potential.

 

But...they budgeted lower....they knew.  And that's A-OK with me.

First two acts could have been heavily edited. It doesn't need to be this long, it's just Tarantino's ego. Third act is great.

 

Jennifer Jason Leigh deserves an Oscar. No one else though, Samuel L Jackson plays Samuel L Jackson, as usual.
