Not a great film but i was never bored and the three hours flew by. Very good film.

 

As filmmakimg it is a marvel. Three hour films almost by defintion have to be of epic grand scope to succeed. This one does despite being almost claustrophobically small scale.

Caught the 70mm Roadshow this afternoon.  Sound was remarkable, crazy immersive.  Sam was Sam, Roth's timing was impeccable, Goggins pulled the most laughs, haven't heard as much talk about Russell but he slipped right into the Hangman, and I can go on.

 

Loved it.

Where did you see it? I want to do the 70mm showing, but not sure where I should see it. I was thinking of going to AFI Silver because they seem like they would actually know how to project 70mm.

dumb business decision. If people that follow movies do not know the movie came out. How is the general audience going to know when the movie comes out. They kept changing the release date.
