Like pointed above the last one had a worst case scenario net budget of 212.86 million.

I doubt they did cut much budget to the same director on it's sequel, by how successful the previous entry was, I imagine that it will be about the same with a similar 170/180m throw around in the trades.

Pre tax credits. So probably the 200M is correct once all credits have been accounted for.

200 could be, 170m sound low. It depend also for how much they sold them, for Louisiana the worst case scenario is 85 cents on the dollars for the state tax credits.

Estimated Total Budget: $235,329,191
Total Granted Tax Credits: $26,421,007

This thrusday? i Thought the movie won't come out until mid-julY?

Probably a preview to build WOM. I was shocked to see the embargo was broken like TODAY instead of in a week or so.

It just makes the wait all the more agonizing...:bash:

any chance for war to be nominated for more oscar's category?

Strong chance for 3rd instalment to outrun the 2nd given a even better review

if studio gives it a real push. if critics don't forget about it end of the year when best lists are made. if critics actually shower it with major awards which helped Mad Max clinch Director and Picture noms. Lots of if's but not impossible. First reviews have to hold and meta needs to rise even more.

If the movie deliver once again it is almost certain the studio will give a giant push (4 to 6.5 million phase one), probably start to push for an special achievement award for Serkis.

Lobying already started:

Giacchino is getting some insane notices for this.

Well, it no surprise since he also composed the score for blockbusters like Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, Jurassic World, Inside Out, Zootopia & Rogue One.

He really gave those movies very adventurous & emotional tunes.
