Watch Wolf of Wall Street.

 

I must say they really marketed the film towards the wrong crowd.

 

This pretty plays to people who like mob films, not Preachy award drama. 

 

I wouldn't say they marketed it toward the "preachy award drama" crowd, but you're right in that that's who showed up initially. Around Christmas you had a lot of older folks and fans of Dicaprio who aren't used to his films having such a visceral sexual side to them.

in other news WoWS is at my theatre so i decided not to watch the screener , seeing this on the big screen tomorrow  , i do make an effort to see leo legally !

I wouldn't download a screener of Wolf. I'd struggle to give a 3 hour movie the attention it deserved watching it on my laptop.
