Snyder. lol

Funny how the two went to college together ... and are sort of the huge action spectacle directors ... who cause incredible divisiveness amongst fans ... Snyder seems more artistic in his direction & set pieces then Bay though ... I've enjoyed movies from both of them ... but they also have their fare share of stinkers. (especially Sucker Punch and the Transformers sequels)

Even though he didn't direct it ... 300: ROAE feels EXACTLY like a Zack Snyder film.  In this case, that was a positive for me.

I hate it when people just throw their trash anywhere. I saw an old couple falling in line for movie tickets. I didn't know if the woman accidentally or intentionally dropped the trash (I'm sure it was food). It fell in front of her. And then nothing. No picking up whatsoever. I went to their place, made sure they saw me and picked up their trash and threw it to the bin a few steps from them. It greatly disappoints me to see people older than me act this way. I don't know where the wisdom has gone. It always reminds me that not because one is older, he / she knows more than people younger than him / her.

Yeah, I hate this too. It's not that hard to just throw your trash in a trash can.

Of course.  It's a fantastic movie.

I like Bay but I wish he left the Transformers series. Time for a new director and I want him to do different films.

I want him to do different films too. However, I enjoy the Transformers movies, so I am okay with him continuing to do them.

Pain & Gain is one of my favorite films from last year. Really underrated IMO. Bay's unique sense of visuals, humor, and eye for hot women/macho men work perfectly for it.I'd go as far and say its a movie Bay was born to direct.

And to think head decapitation galore is okay for them. lol

Boobs are scarier for them. It's really silly that they put the R-16 but still do that. I mean let's face it those 16 and 17 year olds are no longer innocent lol

I'm really impressed with Monuments Men's performance. I never thought it would earn that much since I didn't find the premise mainstream-appealing

Bay is a genius.  Plain. Simple.  He's one of the best of all time.   :)

I disagree, but I think he can do very very good things when he applies himself the right way. I wish he would step away from his noisy, cluttered yet empty blockbusters and make more films like Pain and Gain. That movie was such a funny yet dark delight, I almost couldn't believe it was a Bay film. He really hit the jackpot there by mixing some Coen brothers nihilism and dark comedy with his colorful whiz-bang adrenaline pump. Edited by 4815162342

Really, really silly. They thought it's better for young people to see heads, limbs, and other body parts being cut, slashed and stabbed than seeing two glands that produce milk. lol

If Bay left the Transformers series, I think we'd miss him. Just look at POTC 4, or even TASM for that matter.

We are probably the only two people on this forum to really think that and mean it.

Bay is a visionnary, the way ho composes and frames his shots are nothing short of amazing.

And in case you eyebrow cinephiles hadn't noticed, movies are a sensorial medium : image & sounds.

Definition of an artist from online,

[*]creator of art: somebody who creates art, especially paintings or sculptures

[*]performer: a member of the performing arts

[*]skilled person: somebody who does something skillfully and creatively

He is most certainly an artist, because his movies are unique and somewhat quirky, he's very creative.

Wes Anderson is definitely an artist it's just a lot of people think his art is shit. He's creative, but his films still bore the hell out of me.

The Transformers series could've been amazing without Michael Bay.  Remember the first trailer for Transformers 2?  I think that perfectly captured what they could've been.  Instead, we got the complete opposite, which was one of the worst action comedies of all time.  If Transformers is ever rebooted by someone else, it would probably be one of my most anticipated movies of the year.  After the last 3 films(especially the sequels), there is no reason to think Transformers 4 won't be just as bad, even with Mark Wahlberg as the lead.
