The Weeknd is a way more interesting choice than Taylor Swift IMO. They were always gonna chose one of the biggest artists in the world and having a male artist this time is refreshing. I don't think it will be a love ballad this time lol.

Guess I’m gonna have to listen to Dawn FM on repeat for the next week-and-a-half to keep myself occupied while I wait (im)patiently to hear this fire new track from one of my favorite artists in the end credits of one of my most anticipated films of all time. I know for a fact I’m gonna be leaving that movie theater at like 2 or 3 in the morning feeling energized as fuck lol.

Thank fuck it's not Swift - can't stand her or her rabid fanbase.

 

Also she's always struck me as a bit of a local act, a much bigger deal in the US than she is anywhere else, much like Beyonce.

He's the equivalent of Taylor Swift + Drake in Latin America. He's absolutely huge in Spanish speaking countries.

Much bigger in the US than anywhere else sure. She's from here. She's big (or huge) everywhere though. Even in places like China or the Philippines she pulls big numbers.
