JohnnyGossamer
Yeah, dude looks great for 54. Actually, looks better than Crowe (52).
Sam
Crowe might not be a fair comparison. He always looks old. To me at least.
4815162342
For the sequel (because I assume this will be good enough to warrant another adventure) I hope Shane brings in RDJ as a rival detective or a conniving villain to match wits and one-liners against Gosling/Crowe

RDJ would be neat. But we need Val Kilmer.

filmlover
That shot of Legend Monaghan in the Sexy Santa is iconic. If only Tele could match that masterpiece.
antovolk
Embargo lifted. Mixed from THR: "Not so nice." http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/review/nice-guys-cannes-review-894065 Positive from Variety: http://variety.com/2016/film/reviews/the-nice-guys-review-russell-crowe-ryan-gosling-1201771964/ " In “The Nice Guys,” the cynical moxie that was just a mayhem-fueled joke in the “Lethal Weapon” films here gets pushed into something a shade more resonant — a comedy of resigned aggression, where everyone is trolling everyone else." You could have Sonny Landham play the detective who thinks there's something out there and it aint no man. Richard Chaves could play a detective that gets beaten up really bad but tells his team that he can make it he can make it. Then you could have Carl Weathers play the government spook who sent the team to die, but comes with them so he can stop the bad guys from getting across the border. Jessie Ventura and Bill Duke can play two buddie detectives, neither of them have time to bleed and both think LA is something...makes Cambodia look like Kansas. Then the coup de tate would be getting Arnold Schwarzenegger to play the muscle of the group. Maybe even a cameo from Kevin Peter Hall. Sounds like a good sequel to me. Joel M
Is there any tracking for this movie? I hope it opens to 20m+ but I have no idea what the industry expectations are for this.

Krissykins
Positive from The Guardian too, 4/5. I'm going to see this because Ryan Gosling is very attractive.
cannastop
http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/the_nice_guys/ I actually think that this is going to stick around. The competition doesn't seem that strong, really. Also, like I've said before, Zootopia piqued the public's appetite for Buddy Cop movies. WrathOfHan
Mostly positive from The Wrap http://www.thewrap.com/the-nice-guys-review-ryan-gosling/ 9/10 from IGN http://www.ign.com/articles/2016/05/15/the-nice-guys-review Looks like this is a hit. The only main complaint I'm frequently seeing is there could have been about 10 minutes cut from the runtime. As much as I want to see it, it's going to be niche in appeal.
