It's kind of sad that one of the poorer reviewed movies of the summer has had by far the best legs so far (although EoT has hold up pretty good as well and DOFP seems to have developed some nice late legs).

Imo whats sad is that some people refuse to comprehend that critics dont determine box office. Edited by baumer

Hehe, TASM2 is crawling to reach 200 million, just as I predicted after it's first weekend , and was bashed for it . Sony must count every single dollar for it to reach 200 , now that it lost even more screens .

LOL..I saw that Rth had 49 posts yesterday.  Very active I think, for him.  So....I investigated.  Sure enough, the topic was food.   :)

So JS heading towards 155 maybe?

 

Should get to 170m.

Both it's weekends and weekdays are bigger than Neighbors. Even if it falls 50% next weekend it's weekend will be higher than Nieghbors 3rd weekend in May.

Neighbors added ~60m more after it's 2nd weekend of 25m.

22JS should add at least that (171m).

Given other 'gritter reimaginings' of fairytales have done good but not great, Maleficient's run is strange. It's not like reviews were great. Is it all down to Jolie?

 

Well, the fact that even Lebron James did watch the movie, meaning there was indeed a crossover appeal for the movie. Plus the target audience seemed very happy.

How did dragon 2 increase when sunday went down by 700K.

 

Without Friday and Sat increase Rth's Sunday would bring Dragon down to 24.6m
